iWatt Adds Kaj den Daas and Brian McDonald to Board of Directors

Los Gatos, CA – July 26, 2011 - iWatt, Inc., a developer of energy-efficient digital power supply control integrated circuits (ICs) used in leading-edge power supplies, today announced that Kaj den Daas and Brian McDonald will join its Board of Directors.

Mr. den Daas brings iWatt his substantial lighting industry expertise and connections in various LED markets. As chairman of Philips Lighting North America and executive vice president of Philips Lighting B.V., he has led the North American unit of Philips, the world’s largest lighting producer. den Daas is currently involved as independent director of LUXIM Corp., a VC-backed developer of light-emitting plasma lamps, as independent non-executive chairman of GLO AB, a VC-backed developer of early-stage nano-wire technology LEDs, and as independent non-executive director of NVC Lighting, the largest domestic lighting company in China.

Mr. McDonald brings iWatt his decades of financial and strategic corporate positioning expertise in semiconductor companies, and will serve as the chairman of iWatt’s Audit Committee which ensures accurate financial reporting and controls. During his seven-year tenure as vice president of finance and CFO at power-IC-company Advanced Analogic Technologies, McDonald took the company public and managed all financial, investor relations and human resource functions. He has served as vice president of finance and CFO at both Monolithic Power Systems and at Elantec Semiconductors. McDonald has also held various financial positions at National Semiconductor and other high-tech firms.
