Alex Sinar appointed General Manager of iWatt Advanced Power Solutions and Sal Sestito as VP Business Development and OEM Sales.

iWatt taps internal talent to lead power system solutions development and grow OEM business.

June 15, 2009 - Los Gatos, CA - iWatt, Inc. announced today that Alex Sinar, Vice President of Operations, has assumed the role of General Manager, iWatt Advanced Power Solutions (APS). Also announced is that Sal Sestito has been promoted to Vice President of Business Development and OEM Sales.

The iWatt APS business unit develops and markets highly efficient custom power management modules and solutions for computing servers and workstations.

“Alex has been with iWatt for four years and has been instrumental in the success of iWatt. His leadership and experience will ensure that APS will continue as the technology leader for custom power management modules” said Ron Edgerton, President and CEO of iWatt.

Sinar has over twenty-five years experience in the field of Semiconductor Technology, Integrated Circuit Manufacturing, Product and Test Engineering, Quality and Reliability. Prior to joining iWatt, Sinar held the position of Vice President of the World-Wide Customer Service at Zoran Corporation. Previously, he held positions as VP of Operations at Zoran, Oak Technology and TeraLogic Inc. He was an early member of the Fabless Semiconductor Association, and the first chairman of the FSA Modeling Subcommittee. Alex is a MSEE graduate from Technion, Israel Institute of Technology.

In another internal appointment, Sal Sestito has joined the iWatt Executive Management team as VP Business Development and OEM Sales, reporting to the company’s CEO. “Sal brings significant experience in taking companies from start up through IPO. iWatt is Sal’s seventh private company and of the previous six companies, three issued IPOs”, said Ron Edgerton President and CEO of iWatt.

Sestito joined iWatt in October 2008 with twenty-five years of experience in Finance (he is a former Controller), Sales, Marketing and Business Development. Prior to joining iWatt he was Vice President of Worldwide OEM Sales at SigmaTel, the market leader in multimedia SoC for portable devices. He also served as Vice President of Greater China Sales while residing in Hong Kong. Prior to that, Sestito was Vice President of Sales at Hughes Network Systems that provided 3G and VoIP products and solutions. He also held various sales and marketing management positions at Phoenix Technologies, Inacom, Cyrix and Tanberg. Sestito holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Pace University in Finance and Accounting.
